I Ain't Going Nowhere!
We must remember that Jesus had just fed several thousand people with two minnows and five barley muffins – a two-piece fish dinner. They were so impressed by what He had done and could do for them that they wanted to make Him king. When they learned that Jesus was not going to set up a political kingdom, that He was not going to continue to give them free food, and that He expected full commitment on their part, they stopped following him.

Each year as we observe MLK day, we commemorate it with mixed emotions and conflicting thoughts. Today, more than ever, we are in a quandary as to the meaning and even the effectiveness of the civil rights movement.
Maximize Your Youth
Every age group has advantages that other age groups do not have. Most aged matriarchs and patriarchs have the advantage of wisdom from their life-long experiences. This wisdom must be shared with the younger generations. Young people have the advantage of boundless energy. This energy must be channeled in the right direction.
Not Only For One Day, But For The Entire Year
I remember a former co-worker, in humor, telling me that he had not found a way to make the “happy” in the phrase, “Happy New Year,” last longer than the first day of the year. For him, after New Year’s Day, everything went back to the familiar failures, old attitudes, bad habits, and unhappy work routines.
